Just a stone’s throw from the easternmost point in North America is a small community with a funny name and a big heart for its diverse seabird population. Located on the Avalon’s Southern Shore, along the scenic Irish Loop, the Town of Witless Bay maintains a strong connection to its rural roots, traditions, and breathtaking surroundings.

The Gull Pond Road sign at Route 10 has been stolen three times. Each replacement is paid for by Witless Bay taxpayers, and the cost adds up.

If you’d like a street sign of your own, you can buy one from the Town Office with prices ranging from $75-$95. Call 709-334-3407 or drop by during office hours.

If you see suspicious activity around Town property, please contact the RCMP Ferryland Detachment at 709-432-2440. In an emergency, call 911.

Thank you for helping us look after our community.
