Tourism connects nature, communities and economies, cutting across many of the systems that need to transform to achieve global climate goals. 🌍

📍 For the third consecutive year, tourism will have a dedicated thematic day at COP31, with Tourism Day taking place on 18 November 2026 in Antalya, Türkiye, organised by UN Tourism in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye and the UN Environment Programme.

Building on the momentum of COP29 and COP30, COP31 is an opportunity to move from recognition to implementation and scale.

Tourism Day, will focus on “Tourism Climate Solutions: Low-Carbon, Zero Waste and Climate-Resilient Destinations,” highlighting how the sector can translate climate priorities into practical solutions across destinations, businesses and communities.

Tourism can contribute to climate action well beyond the sector itself through:
🌱 Accelerating the low-carbon transition
♻️ Advancing zero waste and circular approaches
🌍 Strengthening the climate resilience of destinations, ecosystems and communities

🎯 The next step is implementation: turning commitments into solutions, scaling what works and strengthening the partnerships needed to deliver.
