Yesterday marked Andy Burnham's 100th day as Prime Minister, and it's also the day John Healey stands up to deliver Labour's first Budget under him

So what have families in Runnymede and Weybridge actually had for those 100 days? Diesel has gone over £2 a litre and inflation is back up to 3.5%. On top of that, the government's long-term borrowing costs are the highest they've been since 1998. That isn't some abstract City number; it feeds straight into the mortgage rates of households across Surrey who are already stretched to the limit.

Meanwhile a village of around 350 people in Oxfordshire is being told to take more than 1,200 asylum seekers on an old military base. And the ringleader of the Rochdale grooming gang is still living here, months after his release.

Tomorrow's Budget will show whether Labour has learned anything. I'm not holding my breath.

Out and about in Addlestone today with our councillors Cllr Scott Kelly and Cllr Vinny Mitchell and branch team, leafleting and chatting to residents on the doorstep. 🩵

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped to talk to us and shared what matters to them. The support we're getting across Addlestone is brilliant and it keeps us going.

Zia's statement on Sunday's ITV programme is worth watching in full.

Let me be clear: racist language has no place in Reform UK, and anyone shown using it should face the consequences. That isn't up for debate.

But how this programme was made matters too. The party has reported several ITV journalists to the police, including claims that a reporter used a doctored passport to get a job inside the party and that people were paid to canvass, which is unlawful. If those claims stand up, ITV has serious questions to answer.

Standards should apply to everyone, including the broadcasters who hold us to account.

Over 18,500 people have crossed the Channel in small boats so far this year. In September we saw 781 in a single day. The boats are getting bigger, not fewer.

Reform UK has a plan: Operation Restoring Justice. Detain, deport and deter, so that arriving illegally means swift removal.

Labour promised to "Get Britain Working"

Two years on, 2.8 million people are still out of work through long-term sickness, and the benefits bill keeps climbing.

Meanwhile the people who do get up and go to work every day are paying for it through higher taxes, higher bills and a Chancellor who keeps coming back for more.
Here in Runnymede and Weybridge, we hear it on every doorstep. Small businesses can't find staff. Working families feel they're carrying everyone else.

Labour doesn't work. Britain deserves a government that backs the people who do.

Well worth a read from Moira Gill - Reform UK Weybridge. Weybridge Post Office is now one of the few places locally where people can bank, post and collect parcels, and the plans take away the parking right outside it.

Has anyone actually asked how Royal Mail are meant to collect, or how customers carry heavy parcels to their cars?

Nobody is against safer crossings near the station. But spending £5m while potholes go unfixed and shops close is the wrong priority.

Our Addlestone councillors, Cllr Vinny Mitchell and Cllr Scott Kelly , gave up their Sunday to get the town ready for Remembrance. 🌺

Poppies are now up across Addlestone town centre, from the high street to the library, as we come together to honour those who served and those who never came home.

Remembrance Sunday is on 8th November. We hope to see you there as the community pays its respects.
We will remember them.
