Very many congratulations to all the troops who successfully passed out of basic training following the completion of Exercise Shamrock Challenge 2026, on a very cold and wet morning. Of course many of them will be joining the Royal Army Medical Services, having found somewhere they can learn new skills and get paid to do so. Curious about where you might fit in? Drop us a message to get your journey started 📩

The army continuously updates it’s standards of fitness as we move with the times. Reservists at 210 (NI) MMR are no exception. The mental resilience displayed by our soldiers and officers to push themselves to be the fittest they can be is displayed regularly. Fitness is at the core of what we do. How do you measure up to the standards displayed the new guidance above? Do you have the mental fortitude, drive and determination to get it down when you’re needed most? Send us a message and let’s see how we can help you on your way to a career with the army reserve.

Members of 210 (NI) MMR had a fantastic day in the sun chatting to many members of the community about life in the army reserve, during Armed Forces Day 2026. If you were there or if you’re just curious, drop us a message and ask about starting your army reserve career.

Road Safety Roadshow

Last week we assisted at the NI Road Safety Roadshow in Thiepval Barracks, in partnership with Cool FM, emergency services, and road safety organisations.

The event focused on the main causes of serious and fatal road traffic collisions and was designed to raise awareness to the real world consequences of unsafe driving.

*Note: simulated RTC casualties

Last month at 210 MMR was a busy one.

*Our main drive has been training to help provide medical cover for the Nijmegen Marches in the Netherlands this July. This is the world’s largest marching event, with 40,000+ participants.

Training for this has involved foot care simulations, consolidation of primary health care knowledge, and even lessons in emergency dental care.

*Our Military Skills team has continued training for the AMSTTE competition - a mil skills competition for Army Medical Services teams, as well as international competitors.

Training included revision of care under fire, CBRN casualty, and counter drone drills.

*Weekly Parade Night training continued, with self directed PT, European Driver Matrix, musculoskeletal injury, and “electromed” check training.

Looking forward to June:
