Beaver cam’ is coming to Brum!
This Saturday (14 March) friends and colleagues from the National Trust are sharing their love of beavers, one of nature’s most elusive mammals, with people in Birmingham via a large screen in Victoria Square.
Join them between 10am and 4pm to watch the incredible footage National Trust teams have captured of these industrious rodents and learn why they are so important for healthy ecosystems.
As well as seeing beaver antics, you’ll also be able to test your beaver knowledge, ‘direct the camera operator’ and learn a few fun facts.
Did you know beavers can remain underwater for up to 15 minutes? Or that the semi-aquatic creatures have protective eyelids to see underwater and can close both their nostrils and ears to prevent water from entering?
If you’re planning to visit the Back to Backs on Saturday, or just happen to be in the city centre that day, visit our pop-up beaver screen in Victoria Square between 10am-4pm.
