This evening the Councillors who make up the Events Committee at Bridgend Town Council marked the receiving of a letter from the UK Minister from Westminster acknowledging the work undertaken to deliver Armed Forces Day in Bridgend.

We promised to give you a Town Council you could be proud of back in 2017 and your Independent Councillors continue to work on delivering that promise.

The Independent BCBC Councillors who cover the Bridgend Town Area have received the following update about the sinkhole that appeared on Court Road over the weekend.

"Bridgend County Borough Council has issued an update after part of the pavement collapsed in Court Road, Bridgend town centre.

A spokesman said: “Engineers from Bridgend County Borough Council have now completed an inspection of the site which has confirmed that repairs are required to a sewer.

“Dŵr Cymru Welsh Water are seeking to carry out the work early this week.

“Once this has taken place, the council will backfill the hole and reinstate the pavement and highway so both can be reopened as quickly as possible.”"
