Sometimes we get referred to as a forest school, and although a lot of the values match - our outdoor stay and play is so different to a forest school!
Where forest schools are often a structured, educational philosophy led by a trained practitioner... our group is an unstructured drop-in style community based around learning through play.
Our concept is for little ones to enjoy child-led activities whilst supervised by their grown ups and we set up very intentional invitations to play, which change every single week to match a planned theme!
If your little one is aged 0-5, then our outdoor playgroup provides a safe, low-pressure environment for them to practice early social skills, explore natural textures, and burn off energy without the structure of a formal class.
Forest schools are fantastic and are often a perfect follow-on for when your child outgrows our space! I just thought it might be helpful to highlight some of the differences.
