Despite the rain and only being just two volunteers today, plenty was achieved! 🌧️💪

At RS118 in Higham, they installed a new set of steps and a handrail. Also carried out repairs at Blacklands Farm, replacing a broken footboard on a stile along the same route.

They then moved on to Bush Road, Cuxton and installed a new set of steps on RS200, the North Downs Way.

The best part is that all the work was completed using repurposed timber, with the total cost coming to no more than a fiver for nails, waymarkers and yellow tape. Not bad for a day's work!

A special thank you to the farmer for allowing them to drive across his field. It saved a lot of time, effort and heavy lifting, and was greatly appreciated.

It's amazing what can be achieved with a bit of determination, teamwork and recycled materials. 👍🌿

Last week, the volunteers visited Motney Hill to clear vegetation along the Saxon Shore Way and England Coast Path leading down to the river.

The path had become almost impassable, but thanks to their hard work and determination, it is now open and welcoming once again

Despite having only one volunteer out last week, that certainly didn't stop him!

First, he tackled a filthy sign behind Wigmore Library on GB41, giving it a much-needed clean. He then headed over to Parkwood to clear the path at the end of Parker Close. This path provides an important link, with one direction leading towards GB34 and the other towards Mierscourt Road.

A fantastic effort by a dedicated volunteer helping to keep our local area looking its best. Thank you! 👏🌿
