We work across and represent the five constituencies in Wiltshire, which include - North Wiltshire, Chippenham, South West Wiltshire, Salisbury and Devizes. 🌾 Where is the support for our rural communities?

Wiltshire’s farmers are the backbone of our rural communities. They need proper protection and funding to keep producing the food we rely on, because our county’s food security depends on them.

Yesterday, a motion supporting farmers received cross-party support at Wiltshire Council. Yet it is disappointing that the Conservative MPs representing our area clearly didn’t feel the need to show the same support.

Our rural communities deserve better than warm words. They need MPs who will stand up for our farmers, fight for fair funding and recognise that protecting farming means protecting our food security, our countryside and our rural way of life.

You cannot claim to stand up for rural Wiltshire while failing to stand up for the people who keep it fed. 🌾

Tonight, Conservative MPs failed to back British farmers in Parliament.

The Liberal Democrats will keep fighting for farmers and pushing for the support our rural communities deserve.

🌿 Protecting our environment is NEVER a waste of time. 🌿

At yesterday's Full Council meeting, Reform questioned whether we really need ambitious environmental targets.

Our answer is YES, we absolutely do!

We need to lead from the front, set ambitious goals and show what can be achieved when we put protecting our environment at the heart of our decisions.

Our countryside, wildlife and green spaces are worth protecting, not just for us, but for future generations.

🌍 Wiltshire should be leading the way, not lowering its ambitions.

🎉 A fantastic result in Milford!

Huge congratulations to Mac Brown and Lawrence Gillies on their brilliant by-election victories yesterday in Salisbury! 🔶

We look forward to working with you both on Wiltshire Council and Salisbury City Council respectively, continuing to deliver positive change for our communities.

A sincere well done to the all candidates who stood in these elections, campaigned hard and put themselves forward to represent their communities. Democracy is stronger when people are willing to get involved and stand up for what they believe in.

Most importantly, thank you to the residents of Milford for putting their trust in the Liberal Democrats and showing that they want to keep Wiltshire moving forward.

Here’s to building on that positive momentum! 🔶

It was incredibly emotional in the chamber today. The powerful stories and phenomenal support now means the Wiltshire recognises violence against women and girls as an emergency!

Not the easiest decision, but the responsible one.

St Stephen’s car park is approaching the end of its design life. Extending it could cost up to £8 million, while rebuilding is estimated at around £15 million.

The Liberal Democrat administration has agreed a transfer that removes a major financial risk, protects public money and creates an opportunity for future regeneration in Trowbridge.

The car park will remain open until the leisure centre opens.
