As autumn continues, falling leaves can quickly build up on paths and roads, particularly in wet and windy weather.

The road sweepers in the Environmental Services Team are working across the town to help keep roads and pavements clear of fallen leaves and other debris. They play an important role in keeping our streets clean and helping to prevent leaves from building up.

With leaves continuing to fall, if you spot a build-up of leaves, please let us know by submitting a report on Report it, so the team can look into it - bit.ly/ReportIt_

We have received a number of enquiries from individuals and local community groups wishing to lay wreaths on Remembrance Sunday.

If you have not already arranged with us to lay a wreath, and you are not taking part in the parade, please stand in front of the retail units in the Market Place car park, opposite the war memorial. From here, you will be able to join the queue of wreath layers, which will form after wreaths have been laid by dignitaries, including the Mayor.
A member of the Royal British Legion will advise when it is your turn to approach the war memorial and lay your wreath.

The Chippenham Branch of the Royal British Legion has asked us to advise residents that, during the Public Act of Remembrance, only red poppy wreaths should be laid.

If you are unsure on the day regarding where to stand or when to lay your wreath members of Chippenham Town Council staff, wearing purple hi vis will be available to assist from 10am until 10.45am.

Please allow plenty of time to arrive, as public viewing areas can become very busy from around 10.20am onwards.
