This afternoon we have done a littler pick around Consett town centre, with Building Self-Belief CIO, we met at the clock by the bus station, I spoke to some of the homeless who were on the seats, they all engaged and all said they are desperate for help, all had previously been In Jigsaw project and been evicted, I worked in jigsaw during the pandemic so familiar with addictions ect, all have a back story as to how they have come to be in this situation, I spoke to them about the anti social behaviour of course they all denied they had been involved in any of that, I’ve got all of their names and phone numbers so will be passing them on to the rough sleeper team tomorrow, some are sleeping rough in Ebchester, if anyone knows where could you drop me a message,
I don’t want this to become a post with a load of negative comments. Tomorrow we are having a multi agency meeting and I’ll post an update after that’s taken place.
