Electrical Safety ⚡
Your safety is our priority.

Did you know we carry out electrical safety checks in your home every 5 years? We check your wiring, sockets, lights, and fuse board are safe, to reduce the risk of electrical fires and keep you and your family protected.

If you're worried about the electrical safety of your home, or you've noticed damaged sockets, exposed wiring, or other electrical issues, report it to us as soon as possible.

Remember – it's important to let us into your home for scheduled electrical safety inspections. These checks are there to keep everyone safe.

If there’s anti-social behaviour issues in your area, we can help you. We deal with all types of nuisances and disorder. These are things like:

◾verbal abuse or harassment or threats

◾hate related harassment and behaviour

◾vandalism or damage to property or misuse of communal areas

◾persistent noise nuisance and rowdy behaviour

◾drug or substance misuse and dealing

◾alcohol-related behaviour

◾begging

◾uncontrolled animals or dangerous dogs

Our focus is stopping issues as early as possible and most can be sorted without formal action.

We work closely with the police and the council to help stop issues affecting you.

Bonfire Night is almost here.

If you’re putting on a home display, you should follow some simple steps to make sure that everyone has a good time without getting hurt.

Each year, over half of all firework injuries are suffered by children.

Did you know that sparklers get five times hotter than cooking oil? Sparklers are not toys and should never be given to a child under five.

Always buy fireworks from a reputable shop to make sure that they conform to British Standards. This means that they should have BS 7114 written on the box. Never buy fireworks from anywhere you’re not sure about, such as the back of a van or from a temporary, unlicensed market stall.

Faulty gas appliances can be extremely dangerous and even kill. Gas safety checks minimise the risk of gas-related fires and help keep you and your family safe.

We will check if your boiler is working correctly as part of your annual gas safety appointment. This can help save you money on your gas bills and reduce the risk of your boiler breaking down.

It’s important you let us complete this check. We will let you know when we are planning to come but if the appointment isn’t convenient, you can contact us to change it.

We were at Derby Pride at Markeaton Park on Saturday. We look forward to this event and once again it was brilliant!
