"Too many families in Scotland do not have enough money."

Fiona King, from Save The Children told MSPs about the need for major policy action to tackle child poverty, suggesting that smaller initiatives may not be enough and pointing to the Scottish Child Payment as an example of a measure that can make a difference.

💷 What does the UK Budget mean for Scotland?

Some of the headline figures include:

🟣 £600 million extra funding for Scotland over the next spending period
🟣 Direct funding of two projects in Glasgow (£6 million) and Edinburgh (£18 million)

However, Scotland's public finances continue to face significant challenges, including higher-than-expected inflation and a projected £720 million income tax reconciliation.

The World Press Photo Exhibition is a gateway for audiences to explore stories from around the world.

Speaking to Bea Harbour, the curator of the exhibition, we learned about not only these photos and the themes they illustrate, but also the photographers themselves, and the judging process of the competition as a whole.
