Putting the Air into Air Cadets!
On Wednesday 15th April, six of our cadets had the fantastic opportunity to take to the skies at Leuchars Station, putting their knowledge of principles of flight into real-life practice.
Despite some rather dodgy-looking weather at the start of the morning, conditions held and every single cadet got airborne!
A brilliant experience all round, and a great way to put theory into practice. Plenty of smiles all round after landing!

π Promotion Alert!π
We are absolutely delighted to congratulate Flight Sergeant Reyes on his promotion to Cadet Warrant Officer, following a successful interview with Sqn Ldr Reilly, our Wing Staff Officer this evening.
Achieving the rank of Cadet Warrant Officer is the highest rank an air cadet can attain. It recognises exceptional leadership, dedication, and a sustained commitment to the values and standards of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets. This is a significant milestone, reflecting not only personal achievement but also the ability to inspire and lead others at the highest level within the organisation.
We also extend our congratulations to Corporal Gora, who has demonstrated outstanding passion, discipline, and commitment, and has been promoted to the rank of Sergeantβ a well-deserved recognition of hard work and self-determination.
π Good luck in your new ranks and roles β 142 Squadron is incredibly proud!

Taking a moment to celebrate the fact that last night, we had 20 out of a possible 23 Cadets on parade. That's the highest number that the Squadron has had on the books in many years, and the highest attendance in recent memory, which is something we can be very proud of.
It's great to see how much the Squadron is growing and flourishing, and we can't wait to see what incredible things are in store for 2026.

On behalf of all the staff team at 142 Squadron, wishing you all the very best for 2026. Thank you for all your support of the squadron over the past year.
