👉Have you ever thought about becoming a flood warden and helping your community if the village needs to respond in times of intense rainfall?

Being an Enderby Local Flood Warden is a voluntary, but important position. You will help the public prepare for flooding, so they can act faster and recover quicker if the worst should happen.

Flood Wardens act as a local point of contact for flooding information and raise awareness of flood risks so residents can take action in advance. Training for this role will be provided by Leicestershire County Council.

If you'd like to know more, please visit or contact the Parish Office, Civic Centre, King Street, Enderby LE19 4NT or ring 0116 275 3711 or email [email protected]

It's that time of year when Enderby Parish Council starts gearing up for the popular Christmas Lights Event on Friday 4 December from 4pm to 7pm.

Each year, local firms and residents generously donate prizes and vouchers for the Christmas raffle that helps support the village's calendar of activities.

If you'd like to support the raffle, please contact [email protected]

Volunteer Marshals Required
In order to ensure the Remembrance Day Procession can go ahead safely it is necessary to temporarily close the roads around the procession route. To help with this we are seeking volunteer marshals to assist with managing the rolling road closure.

What does the role involve?
• Setting up: Placing road closure signage to close a specific access point before the procession starts. (This may be a road or car park)
• During event: Monitoring the closure point whilst the procession passes.
• Taking down: Moving the signage safely to the side of the road once the procession has passed.

If you can spare some time on the morning of Sunday, 8th November 2026, (approx. 10am – 11am) to help keep our Community safe during this special event, please let the Parish Office know as soon as possible by either emailing [email protected] or calling on 01162753711
