​Heading into Monday’s Extraordinary Full Council meeting, Cllr Kieran Persand has submitted an amendment to challenge the proposed release of key Greenbelt sites in our Borough.
​The amendment calls for the protection and removal of:
📍 Land at Priest Hill
📍 Downs Farm
📍 Horton Farm

The Association has launched a fundraiser to challenge the legality of process behind the planned housing development at Downs Farm, Reigate Road, Ewell. Phase one is to raise £10,000, of which almost £7,000 has already been donated.

The fundraiser to protect Downs Farm Reigate Road, Epsom from development continues to grow, but more funds are needed for legal advice. In a few days, £4850 has been raised from 44 donors. Legal guidance and action is required to protect Green Belt land. All donations are welcome!

There are real concerns on the lack of infrastructure (schools and healthcare) to support more than 600 homes.

The Council has published Local Plan Additional Sites and Docs Public Hearing Agenda on Thursday 2nd July from 9:30am. Public are all welcome to attend at Epsom Council, there is no need for registration for public hearing. The Inspector, planning officers developers and some councillors and residents will be speaking. Full agenda see link below:

The link below has details of the representations and comments received during the consultation process for the Local Plan for Epsom and Ewell. A total of 367 people responded, which shows the strength of public opinion.

The hearing with the Inspector starts at 09:30 on Thursday 2nd July in the council chamber.
