On Wednesday 10 year 8 boys went over to Evesham United Football Club to referee and run a first schools football tournament.

Around 160 very excited year 3, 4 and 5's arrived and were treated to a full warm up from our leaders on what started out as a chilly morning. With 4 matches running at the same time the year 8's were always busy refereeing, keeping score, reporting results, and making sure the next matches were ready to start. They did superbly well and showed fantastic leadership and teamwork skills throughout.

It was brilliant to see our young leaders return to a tournament some of them remember playing in when they were at first school.

The Year 8 netball teams travelled to Chipping Campden on Tuesday on a bright and breezy autumnal afternoon. The A team came up against a very strong Campden side and, despite their best efforts, were unable to come away with the result they wanted. Players of the match were Xoni and Gracie. The B team started strongly and got ahead early in the first quarter. This set the tone for the rest of the match and they finished comfortable winners. Player of the match was Shelby. Well done to all who played and for your fantastic attitudes and team spirit.

58 pupils from BHA took part in the South Worcestershire District Cross Country competition on Tuesday. There were some fantastic individual performances in all races and we look forward to the next round for those who have qualified.

We are incredibly proud of our community, as always. Following a sad week, our school family have come together and raised an amazing £1000 so far for YoungMinds. It keeps rising! The school has been filled with yellow brightness. Thank you to all pupils and families.

STEM club - we have been excited to see so many new faces (as well as pupils from previous years) attending STEM club so far this term.

We have been putting the new K'nex equipment to use (won by Rupert and Harley during the Primary STEM Challenge 2025/26) by making and perfecting K'nex drums.

Some future STEM clubs will involve: making Ninja stress balls, making magic mud and a chemical garden.
