Last night I had the privilege of attending my first full council at East Devon District Council in Honiton where we discussed Cranbrook reorganisation amongst other items. The Chair gave me a warm welcome and I enjoyed chatting afterwards with councillors of all parties.
Thank you again to everyone who put their faith in me to represent them and those that helped me to get here.

In the same week that Andy Burnham and Rayner have caused chaos with our councils, he has announced that English Mayors will be able to introduce an UNCAPPED 'Tourist Tax'.

The plans could add over £100 to family holidays and risk 33,000 jobs in communities with a tourist industry like ours. [UKHospitality]

This plan is not about local investment, it's about Andy Burnham trying to balance a budget following his unfunded spending promises. In the same week that he has put social security above national security. 🥀

A great pleasure to be invited along to Brixington Community Church this morning for the celebration of 20 years of service of Rev Simon Atkinson.

As well as catching up with many old friends I was able to chat to EDDC Cllrs Chapman and Bailey and DCC Cllr Trail along with the Mayor of Exmouth, and great to see Cherry as well.

I'm very grateful to Rev Simon as he was my mum's neighbour for many years and was always kind and helpful to her, she held him in high regard and I am thankful for the support he always gave her.
