Gloucestershire has gone touchless 🚦🚲
Spotted on the new Cycle Spine: no reaching out to hit the push button, these signals use sensors to detect cyclists, and the lights change for you. No stopping, no stretching, hands stay on the bars.
It's part of the big Cycle Spine scheme, the segregated route linking Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bishop's Cleeve — a project riders are already calling a "gamechanger."
Small piece of tech, big difference to a daily commute. Would touchless signals get you on your bike more?

🚲 Gloucestershire schools, are you ready for Cycle to School Week? 🏫

With just less than one week to go, we’re encouraging schools, pupils and families across Gloucestershire to think about how they travel to school and whether cycling could become part of their journey.

Even swapping the car for a bike on one or two school runs can help children build confidence, independence and healthy travel habits, while helping families cut the time and cost associated with everyday car journeys.

Cycle to School Week takes place from 5 to 9 October, making it a great opportunity for schools across Gloucestershire to get pupils, parents and carers involved, whether they cycle every day or are giving the school run by bike a go for the first time.

Could your school encourage more families to cycle next week? 🚲

Make your pledge and find out how to get involved at https://orlo.uk/uhHfF

We’d love to see Gloucestershire schools taking part, so don’t forget to share your photos and stories from the week! 💚
