Talking to Residents on Hembs Crescent.

Elaine and Keith where joined by Kay, Luke and Neil for a Door Knocking Surgery, good conversations were had about issues and concerns relating to the area.

One theme emerged, that related to speeding traffic coming up from Tanhouse Avenue, we will ask Highways to investigate and potentially expand a speed calming scheme being designed for Bowstoke/Howard Road for possible inclusion in 27/28 Road Safety plan.

Gorse Farm Nature Reserve – A Green Haven.

Keith and Elaine have met today with the Public Realm Management team and have secured a commitment to undertake a cut back and reinstatement of the paths throughout the reserve as part of the winter “Green Hit Squad” scheme.

Your Councillors are also talking to officers about forming a Friends of Gorse Farm resident group to help with litter picks and minor ground maintenance.

Street Surgery held on Danford Way.

Keith was joined by Jaz and Neil today, at our weekly street surgery, picked up a couple pieces of casework relating parking issues, which we will take back to officers.

It was a pleasure to attend the conferral of Steve Melia as Honorary Alderman of Sandwell MBC in recognition for his 27 years of Civic Service and tireless support of the Royal British Legion Remembrance Parades and wider Armed Forces Community.

Join Keith and Elaine on Sunday 8th November 10:30am at Dartmouth Park Memorial for this years Remembrance Service.

This week we were out on Woodfort Road listening to your concerns. We have picked up information about drug dealing and will be reporting this to Sandwell ASB and the local police.
