National Grid is getting ready for the main construction phase of the Bramford to Twinstead Reinforcement. In preparation for this, we need to carry out vegetation trimming, pruning, coppicing and removal works at various locations along the route of the project.

📍Where - Clay Lane, southeast of Hadleigh
📆When - 26 - 28 October between 8am and 5pm.

To keep everyone safe while Balfour Beatty carry out this work on our behalf, we need to temporarily close part of Clay Lane between 8am and 5pm from Monday 26 to Wednesday 28 October.

When the road is closed, there will be no access for vehicles, cyclists or pedestrians. We will display advance warning signs and clearly mark the work area prior to the closure. We will also clearly signpost the diversion route, which you can see on the map.

From Explore Outdoor,

We’re pleased to share an exciting range of free activities available over October half term for children and families who are eligible for Free School Meals. Please do share with any eligible families that you feel would benefit from these sessions.

• Family Park Cooking (Families)

Families will take part in an outdoor cooking session over a campfire. Each family participating will receive a food box with ingredients for five healthy meals to prepare at home, along with recipe cards.

All activities must be booked via Eequ and are subject to a verification check.
Free places are primarily intended for children eligible for means-tested Free School Meals, however, we will also consider applications from young people who meet one or more of the following criteria:

• Eligible for means-tested Free School Meals (Pupil Premium – excluding KS1 universal FSM)
• Looked After Children (LAC)
• Subject to a Child Protection Plan
• Refugee status
