QUEEN’S A&E CAMPAIGN SUCCESS!!

I am absolutely thrilled to report that I received a message last night from the Queen’s Hospital executive team to let me know that our campaign for a remodelled A&E has been successful!!!!

£42m will now be released from government and hopefully the transformation will begin soon to deliver patients better care - I will share a timeline as soon as we get a clearer picture.

The campaign has had huge support from across Havering. The hospital has long struggled with capacity and I receive a regular stream of correspondence from constituents who have had really poor experiences as a result.

The new St George’s NHS Hub we secured in Hornchurch helped take some pressure off the hospital but A&E has continued to be a big problem so I was only too glad to help the Queen’s team with the campaign over the past 22 months.

Thank you to every resident and NHS team member who helped build pressure to get this critical extra resource. A brilliant breakthrough!

We had a great late-summer social at Margaret Thatcher House last night, with Julia Lopez MP meeting local members.

Julia shared about the upcoming party conference and how the Conservatives have grown and changed under Kemi's leadership, learning from the mistakes of the past and returning us to core conservative values.

Dominic Swan, Chairman, spoke about how the choice in Romford is clear. At the next election we either have Reform, or Conservatives, and we're getting ready for the fight ahead!
