The Old Royal Naval College and the beauty of its architecture continues to be a source of inspiration for artists today.
Take a look at this painting made on site by artist . Paula’s love for painting runs in the family. She was taught by her grandfather - who served in the royal navy and attended the Royal Naval College for 14 years. The piece, called ‘Sounds of Spring’, takes inspiration from the music you can often hear while walking around our site, coming from Conservatoire.
It’s stories like these that remind us why preserving our heritage, and keeping it alive for future generations to come is so important.
This year, as we celebrate 300 years of the Painted Hall, we want to hear your stories, memories and see your artistic creations. Find out more in the link in our bio.

With the expected heatwave in London this bank holiday weekend, we've taken the decision to postpone this year’s Greenwich Dog Show.
Despite planning for all eventualities, including providing for warm weather conditions, we felt this is the correct decision to protect the health, safety and wellbeing of the dogs and their humans who were booked to attend.
Scheduled to take place on Sunday 24 May 2026, the much-loved community event will now be taking place on Saturday 13 June 2026.
