🥁 Did you know it’s national percussion month?
Here are our percussionists LCpl Dan Zealand and Musn Ashley Clegg performing Lucky Nashville, a snare drum and marimba duet.
The piece, written for the incredible Ji Hye Jung and W. Lee Vinson, highlights their distinct musical styles while allowing the two parts to blend and complement one another. Inspired by their artistry, friendship and life in Nashville, the work celebrates both the impact they’ve had on the percussion community and the city that has become home for their family and musical careers.
We hope you enjoy our rendition from this side of the Atlantic! 🎶

🎶 Royalty, remembrance and rain!
It has been a busy time for the band as we approach the summer season! Last week we played at the service of the most distinguished Order of St Michael and St George at St Paul's Cathedral, attended by His Majesty The King, the Duke of Kent and members of the Order.
On Sunday the band took part in the regimental Black Sunday, an opportunity for the Regiment to remember their fallen.
Tuesday saw the band in the garden of Buckingham Palace playing for a garden party. It was a pleasure to meet our Honorary Deputy Colonel Commandant Rob Rinder, as well as representatives from Brass for Africa. Not even the rain could dampen spirits!
Today is national tuba day. In honour of this, our tuba quintet are playing Asuka's Solo from the anime Hibike! Euphonium.
If you want to hear them live, come to their lunchtime concert at High Cross Church in Camberley on the 27th May.
