We are so proud to have supported the relaunch and growth of this brilliant programme through the Cultural Education and Learning Support Fund - and tonight we got to see the incredible fruits of that investment on stage. 🌱

Created and devised by talented young people at Camden People’s Theatre, this production was packed with poignant moments, outstanding comic timing and a great lot of heart. 💛

Marcus Ryder MBE, CEO of the Film and TV Charity, delivers this year’s keynote address, offering insight into Carnival's history, its deep connections to Camden, and its continuing influence across the UK.

To celebrate, over the next few weeks we’ll be spotlighting significant Jewish cultural figures connected to Camden - and we’re starting with writer Amy Levy 📖

Born in 1861, Amy Levy was the first Jewish woman to attend Newnham College, Cambridge, and one of the bold voices of the early New Woman movement. Her writing explored Jewish identity, prejudice, women’s rights and belonging with honesty, wit and courage.

Got an idea for a fun family-friendly evening event? 🎲🎶📚🎨

Local businesses, venues and organisations can now apply for grants between £500 and £2,000 to trial family-friendly events, activities and experiences.

Activities must take place from 5pm to 9pm and could include board games, live music performances, storytelling sessions, craft nights and more.

Love Camden and the Museum of Youth Culture gavr teamed up to bring a legendary collection of Camden rave flyers to the Camden People's Museum - our ever-growing digital collection of art, history and community in Camden!

Transport yourself back to the era of rave culture in Camden Town - where a curled up flyer in your pocket and a vague set of instructions was all you needed for a great night out 🪩 💃🕺

Venues like Camden Palace, Electric Ballroom (now KOKO) and Dingwalls helped shape the UK rave scene from 1988-2000 - and the flyers? Pure works of art, packed with psychedelic graphics, sci-fi imagery and DIY creativity.

🎬 UK premiere of Theocracy – The Emigrant’s Artist in the heart of Kilburn

Presented by in their gorgeous cinema, this special event will be followed by a Q&A with its subject, acclaimed Irish artist Bernard Canavan and director Sé Merry Doyle.

Known as “The Emigrant’s Artist”, Bernard’s work captures the experiences of the Irish diaspora through deeply personal and evocative paintings inspired by his own life as an Irish navvy in 1950s London. This moving documentary also explores Bernard’s own story of abandonment and institutional abuse in Ireland - and the new body of work, Theocracy, created in response to it.
