| Detectives have issued an appeal for information that could help them find answers for the family of a schoolgirl who went missing in 1979.

Suzanne, 14, (seen in a school photo, below), left the family home in Harold Hill, east London, with her sister on 27 July 1979. They travelled to the Highbury Fields area in Islington, sleeping rough near a travelling fair for a night before staying in a squat for a number of days.

Her younger sister returned home a few days later, expecting Suzanne to join the following day - but she never came home.

Officers have released an e-fit image of how Suzanne may look now.
