All of us at Reform UK Manchester are taking time today to reflect and remember the terrible events of 22 May 2017 and to say a prayer for those who were murdered, injured and traumatised. It was a dark day for the city and we should never forget those lost and those affected. May something like that never, ever happen again here.

Today was the first full Council meeting since the local elections. A lot of ceremony and formality, Lord Mayor change over and tributes to outgoing councillors, but we have officially confirmed our scrutiny committee positions.
I’m happy to say I’ll be on the Neighbourhoods & Environment scrutiny committee as well as the Economy & Regeneration scrutiny committee.
Looking forward to getting stuck in!
