Cliff has been a valued part of the Warsop Royal British Legion (RBL) for the best part of 30 years. At this time of year, he has become a familiar and much appreciated face in our community, delivering poppy boxes to local shops, manning the poppy stall in the Co-op, and giving speeches at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.

His dedication, commitment and tireless support over so many years have helped ensure that the importance of remembrance, and the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces, are never forgotten.

This year will be Cliff's last carrying out these duties. As a community, please join us in thanking Cliff for his dedication to the RBL and our local community over nearly three decades.

Thank you to Cliff's family for allowing us to share their words, and honour a true gent! Thank you Cliff ❤️

A message from the Rights of Way team

Reporting every incident of off-road vehicle use on Nottinghamshire’s footpaths, bridleways and restricted byways helps the police build a clearer picture of where and when this activity is taking place, identify hotspots and direct resources accordingly. The information provided may also assist in identifying links to other criminal activity, helping to prevent or solve further offences across the county.

Where it is safe to do so, photographs and videos can provide valuable supporting evidence. However, residents should never put themselves or others at risk when gathering information.

The key message is simple: if incidents are not reported, the police may not have the information they need to take action.

By working together, we can help protect our rural communities, safeguard our countryside and ensure that our public rights of way remain safe and accessible for everyone.

Should you encounter any other issues on public rights of way such as obstructions or vegetation, please report them via Nottinghamshire County Council’s website:

https://forms.nottinghamshire.gov.uk/en/AchieveForms/?form_uri=sandbox-publish://AF-Process-541aafdc-b053-4413-a616-789be2df63a9/AF-Stage-86cec327-4023-47d9-9ea9-b1b1f74ba2f3/definition.json&redirectlink=%2Fen&cancelRedirectLink=%2Fen&consentMessage=yes

This helps the Rights of Way Team respond more quickly and helps keep the routes safe and accessible.
