Browse our fantastic Sunday Market, featuring a fabulous array of local traders, then take a break in the café or relax in our sun-trapped courtyard.

We’re here until 3pm, with the café and grounds open until 5pm.

We have a fantastic line-up of amazing traders, with everything you need for a great day out. The market is open from 9:30am – 3:00pm.

🎶 Saturday Special: Enjoy live singing from Sing Porty at 11:00am.

☕ Our Café will be open from 9:00am – 5:00pm for drinks, treats, and lunch.

🎈 Weehailes Play Park will be open from 9:00am – 5:00pm, offering lots of fun for the little ones.

We’re looking for a Maintenance Worker to help care for and maintain a unique cluster of historic properties — based primarily at Newhailes, with opportunities to work across Gladstone’s Land, Georgian House, Malleny and Inveresk Gardens.

If you’re practical, proactive and take pride in a job well done, this could be the role for you.

What you’ll be doing:
🪜 General building and site maintenance
🎨 Internal and external painting
🪚 Minor joinery and building repairs
🚰 Basic plumbing repairs
🚗 Car park and outdoor infrastructure maintenance
🏡 Supporting residential property repairs
🎪 Helping with event set-up and breakdown
🔑 Acting as a key holder across multiple sites

We’re looking for someone who has:
✔️ Experience across a range of maintenance trades
✔️ Great attention to detail and finish
✔️ Confidence working independently
✔️ Strong health & safety awareness
✔️ A full UK driving licence

Bonus points for experience with listed buildings, traditional building skills, or multi-site working.

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a hands-on role in conserving historic places while supporting brilliant visitor experiences every day.
