This year’s Public Sector Challenge pushed participants further than ever, with steep climbs, uneven descents and some seriously spectacular views.
Across the challenge, more than 600 participants walked a combined 19 million steps, clocking up 3,167 hours on the trails.
From the highest point of the Long Mynd at 516 metres, the routes took challengers along Pole Bank, through the dramatic Carding Mill Valley and past waterfalls, rocky outcrops and sweeping views across the Welsh mountains and valleys.
And after all those miles, there was a special welcome waiting at the finish line, with Olympians Mark Foster and Christine Ohuruogu cheering challengers home.
Most importantly, the challenge brought people from across the public sector together for two great causes. Since its launch in 2023, the Public Sector Challenge has raised ÂŁ1.2 million for the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.
A huge well done to everyone who took part, stepped up and made every step count.
