Join us at our Sixth Form Open Evening to discover our Product Design A-level as well as over 30 other courses and fourth-subject options.

There will be school tours, department displays, lesson demonstrations and talks from the head, plus you’ll also find out more our sports, extra-curricular activities, trips and leadership opportunities.

Open to all students and families, whether you’re already at PGS or not. Everyone is welcome!

🗓️ Tomorrow we’ve got it all going on, so here’s a rundown of everything you need to remember!

👍 Thursday is the last day of term for all students, as Friday is a staff training day.

👖 It’s also non-uniform day for everyone BUT please remember sports kits, lab coats and any other specialist equipment you’ll need for lessons. ALSO, we’re asking all parents/carers to make the minimum donation of £1.50 per student via ParentPay. All funds will be going to .

🍪 If you’re donating cakes, doughnuts or biscuits to the Cake Sale, please drop them at reception first thing in the morning.

🧁 The Cake Sale will take place at breaktime in the hall, and you’ll need to BRING CASH please! Proceeds from this will go towards the Sixth Form Sleep Out fundraiser to help homelessness.

🍗 Don’t miss the delicious special lunch in the canteen to mark Black History Month, with chicken (or quorn), rice and beans plus Caribbean desserts and drinks too. Thanks to the EDI ambassadors and Mr Slade for organising! 🙏

🙏 We need your support! Our Sixth Formers are once again braving the elements this week to raise funds for the homeless. They’ll be creating shelters from cardboard boxes and other discarded materials 📦 and sleeping outdoors in aid of the YMCA’s Big Sleep project, aiming to smash last year’s total. 💰 Please use the link below and give whatever you can, in the knowledge that all funds will go towards projects to help those less fortunate than us. 🌊 Fieldwork, but make it coastal. 🗺️ Our Year 9 geographers headed seawards last week, exploring the contrasting coasts around Christchurch Bay. From Chewton Bunny, Barton-on-Sea and Hoskin’s Gap to Milford-on-Sea and Hurst Spit, we were hunting for signs of coastal erosion and for defences put in place to slow it down.

⛅️ Groynes and breakwaters ticked off, ecological planting systems and spits spotted, it was a day of teamwork, worksheets… and a LOT of steps. So brilliant to see Geography in action on our Dorset coast. 🏖️ 🌊
