Aldenham Parish Council (APC) is very concerned about the potential impact of the planning application for the development of 650 homes at Home Farm on Radlett and the surrounding areas.

At its latest Full Council meeting, APC voted to object to the application and agreed to appoint a professional planning consultant to prepare the Council’s formal comments. Once APC’s formal comments have been finalised and submitted to Hertsmere Borough Council, we will publish them on the APC ’s website so residents can read them.

Residents can submit their comments online through Hertsmere Borough Council’s planning portal.
Visit https://www.hertsmere.gov.uk/planning-building-control/planning-applications/search-and-comment-on-planning-applications to search for the application and submit your comments

We are also aware that some residents have experienced difficulties submitting their comments through Hertsmere Borough Council’s planning portal.

APC has contacted Hertsmere Borough Council for advice and understands that these issues may be related to the character limit for comments entered directly into the portal, previously understood to be approximately 750–1,000 characters. If your comment exceeds the limit, the portal may not accept it.

Hertsmere Borough Council has advised that the character limit has been increased. Residents can also submit their comments directly by email to [email protected]

APC will continue to keep residents informed as the application progresses.
