Hingston Down Dog Bin
We are aware that vandalism has taken place at Hingston Down.

The dog bin has been destroyed. We have to get this replaced so please bear with us and in the meantime please take your rubbish home.

We would apologise for the inconvenience but it wasn't the Parish Council that damaged the bin in the first place, just another thing to add to our list of unforeseen expenses and time to sort out.

With the wind howling and heavy showers set to continue for at least a few hours, please be mindful on the roads. If you see any issues out there please report them to Cornwall Council - there is a useful page to do this https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/report-something/

You can report branches on the roads, drains, flooding, highways electrical faults etc. If you can report these yourselves it is often more accurate than phoning them through to us.

We're in the midst of quite a nasty storm so please take care on the roads. You may be a safe and sensible driver but not everyone is, so take extra care.

Expect the unexpected, what’s around the next corner? Stationary traffic, a fallen tree, or another vehicle on the wrong side of the road?

Over the past decade, people in cars have accounted for the largest group of road casualties. Stay safe by driving within your ability, adapting to the conditions, and adhering to speed limits - don’t become another statistic
