IMPORTANT CUSTOMER UPDATE – HARTSDOWN LEISURE CENTRE

Following the minor isolated fire at Hartsdown Leisure Centre on Friday evening, we are pleased to confirm that, following further safety checks, our swimming pool will reopen as normal on Sunday 1st November.

The safety and wellbeing of our customers, colleagues and wider community remains our highest priority, and we are continuing to take a careful and measured approach to reopening the remaining areas of the centre.

The following arrangements will be in place:

✅ Gymnastics – Open as normal, with no changes to scheduled sessions.
✅ Swimming Pool – Reopening as normal from Sunday 1st November.

The following areas will remain temporarily closed on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd November:
Gym
FeelGood Factory
Group exercise and Wellbeing classes
Sports hall
Café

This will allow us to complete the necessary cleaning, safety checks and preparations to ensure these areas are safe and ready to welcome customers back.

We will review the position again on Monday 2nd November and provide a further update regarding the reopening of the remaining facilities.

In the meantime, customers are welcome to use our Blue Wave and Ramsgate Leisure Centres as an alternative.
Please keep an eye on our social media channels and the Your Leisure app for the latest updates.

We would once again like to thank everyone for their patience, understanding and support. We are particularly grateful to our colleagues and everyone involved in ensuring the safe evacuation of the building on Friday evening.

We look forward to welcoming more of our customers back safely over the coming days.
