🎃 Halloween Party Spooktacular!
Halloween at SLCN Youth Club was bigger and better than ever.
The evening was packed with:

• Card games
• Dancing
• Singing along to Halloween classics
• Plenty of laughter and fun

We also had a mini buffet packed with treats. As an unexpected bonus, we were even treated to a fantastic fireworks display outside. We can't take credit for it, but we certainly enjoyed watching it!

👑 The Costume Contest
Picking a winner turned out to be almost impossible.
The effort, creativity and commitment shown by everyone was incredible. Fortunately, we found a solution...
We couldn't choose just one winner!

🏆 Joint First Place
• Joseph as Walter White
• Oscar as Rick Grimes
Congratulations to both winners!
Special mention must also go to every young person who took part. The costumes were fantastic, and the judges were unanimous in saying that everyone looked amazing.
"The costumes were so good we couldn't decide on just one winner!"
The rest of the night was spent dancing, singing and enjoying each other's company. Thankfully, no zombies were spotted, and no pumpkins were harmed during the celebrations.

American Night: A Taste of the USA!
Our young people recently packed their passports (not really!) and travelled across the Atlantic for our fantastic American Night.
The evening kicked off with an American flag drawing session, where creativity was on full display. Once the artwork was complete, it was time for the real challenge... trying some classic American foods!
he menu featured:
🍗 Chicken & Waffles
🍁 Maple Syrup
🥤 Root B**r Soda Floats
Opinions on the soda floats were divided. Some loved them, while others spent the evening trying to decide whether putting ice cream in a fizzy drink should actually be legal. Either way, everyone gave it a go!

🎃👻 Halloween is Tomorrow! 👻🎃

As excitement builds for trick-or-treating and Halloween celebrations, now is the perfect time for a final safety check.

Remember the word S.C.A.R.Y. to help keep Halloween fun and safe for everyone:

🕸️ S - Stick to well-lit areas and carry a torch to stay visible.

📱 C - Carry a mobile phone if appropriate and always stay alert when crossing roads.

🔥 A - Avoid open flames. Costumes, wigs and decorations can be highly flammable.

🍬 R - Remember to check treats before eating and discard anything that looks suspicious or has been opened.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Y - You should never trick-or-treat alone. Stay with friends, family, or a trusted adult.

We hope everyone has a safe, enjoyable and spook-tacular Halloween! 🎃🦇👻

Bush Craft fun for our Young Carer’s! 🍂🍁

Our Young Carers had a fantastic time at yesterday's bush craft session. They successfully built a fire in the woods, cooked hot dogs over the fire pit, and worked together to build a shelter. With beautiful weather and plenty of smiles, it was a brilliant day outdoors!
