Thank you to everyone who has reached out.

Over the weekend. We were contacted by a number of people about the little boy who had a fire next door to his property.

We just wanted to thank you all for reaching out, we are now in the process of contacting him and offering further support.

While some members of the team are ‘hitting the drill yard’ and practicing their core skills, others are out in the community undertaking safe and well visits.

The team are offering advice, fitting free smoke alarms where needed and making sure people feel safe in their homes.

🔥 Community connections.

One of the best parts of what we do is getting out into our community, meeting local groups and spending time with their young people.

This evening, we’re looking forward to visiting one of our local Scout groups to help them work towards their Fire Safety Badge! 🚒

We love opportunities like this to share important fire safety messages, answer questions and hopefully inspire the next generation to stay safe.

The weekend is nearly over and with only a couple of incidents in the area.

We are attending a report of a Road Traffic Collision on Nottingham Road Stapleford near to the Sandicliffe Garage.

No persons are trapped, one vehicle is on its roof.
Traffic is affected as road closures are put in place.

🚒 Help us preserve the history of Stapleford Fire Station! 📸

The Fire Service Museum in Mansfield is appealing to former firefighters, retired members and local residents who may have memories, photographs or memorabilia relating to the history of the fire service in Stapleford.

We would love to hear from anyone who remembers Stapleford Fire Station at Pinfold Lane (including the old station) on Warren Avenue.

Do you have any photographs of:

* Retired firefighters and former colleagues?
* Fire engines and appliances?
* Incidents and call-outs across Stapleford?
* The fire stations, past and present?
* Social events, training days or memorable moments?

Any photographs, stories, memories or information, no matter how small, would be hugely appreciated and could help preserve an important part of our local fire service history.

I’ve included some photographs of Stapleford and Beeston. Beeston is where I began my own fire service career, so this is a particularly special appeal.

The team ‘making up’ following a working at height exercise on Cemetery Road Stapleford.

We sometimes attend incidents here at night, where the atmosphere feels completely different. That got us thinking, where’s the spookiest place around the town?
