💚 Stress Awareness Week 2026 | 2–6 November

Stress is a normal part of life, but when it starts to feel overwhelming, it’s important to remember that you don’t have to manage it alone. 💚

This Stress Awareness Week, we’re encouraging everyone to take a moment to check in with themselves and the people around them.

✨ Take a break when you need one.
✨ Make time for things that help you feel good.
✨ Talk to someone you trust about how you’re feeling.
✨ Remember that asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

Sometimes, the smallest steps can make the biggest difference. Be kind to yourself, take things one day at a time, and remember that your mental health matters.

If you need support, Swansea Mind is here for you.

🎃👻 MASKS, HALLOWEEN & AUTISTIC BURNOUT 🧡

Halloween is a time when people put on masks and dress up as someone else… but for many autistic people, masking is something they do every single day. 💙

Autistic masking can mean hiding your natural behaviours, copying others, suppressing your needs or pretending to feel comfortable in situations that are overwhelming. While masking can help people navigate the world, it can also be exhausting and contribute to autistic burnout. 🧠💭

Behind the smile, someone might be struggling more than you realise. This Halloween, let’s remember that not every mask is visible, and everyone deserves to feel safe being their authentic self. 🫶

At Swansea Mind, we want to create a welcoming space where you can connect with others, share experiences and feel understood without having to pretend to be someone you’re not. 💚

🌿 Our support group meets every Thursday at 1pm.

💚🚶‍♀️ A little fresh air can go a long way!

Taking a walk can be a simple way to support your mental health, clear your mind and take a moment away from the stresses of everyday life. 🌿

Whether it’s a peaceful stroll by the sea, a walk with a friend or simply stepping outside for a few minutes, remember that you don’t have to do anything extraordinary to take care of yourself.

✨ Get some fresh air
✨ Take a break from your busy day
✨ Connect with nature
✨ Enjoy a little time for yourself

There’s no pressure to walk a certain distance or pace. Just take it one step at a time. 💚

At Swansea Mind, we believe that looking after your mental health matters, and sometimes the smallest steps can make a difference.

This Hidden Disabilities Week, Swansea Mind is shining a light on the conditions you can’t always see. 💚
Mental health challenges, chronic pain, neurodivergence, and long-term health conditions don’t always come with visual signs—but they are deeply felt every single day. Living with a hidden disability often means navigating extra hurdles, from unsaid expectations to the fatigue of explaining what isn’t visible.
Here at Swansea Mind, we see you, we support you, and we stand with you.
Together, let’s build a more compassionate community across Swansea where everyone feels understood, supported, and included—without needing to justify their experience.
How you can help this week:
* Listen without judgment: Show patience and understanding to those around you.
* Spread awareness: Share this post to help break down stigma.
* Reach out: If you or someone you know is struggling with mental health, our doors and support services are open. You don’t have to carry it alone.

Let’s clear the air. 🧠✨

Mental health myths hold too many people back from seeking support or reaching out to a friend. Watch as we break down the fiction vs. the facts.
Remember, taking care of your mind is just as important as taking care of your body—and asking for help is a sign of strength, never weakness. 💚
