Shared Lives Wiltshire is a unique and rewarding way to change someone's life for the better. Similar to fostering, but for adults, it offers people the opportunity to live independently while being supported by a welcoming and caring household.

Funding available to support town centre events and vacant premises

We’ve launched a new grants programme to encourage more activity, visitors and investment into Wiltshire’s town centres.

The Activating Places programme has £220,000 available to support:

Festivals, markets and community events
Cultural and performance activities
Pop-up use of vacant town centre premises
Long-term occupation of empty units

Applications are now open, with grants ranging from £1,000 to £12,500.
