24 Hours of Caring and Connection
It has been a real privilege to attend three very different but equally meaningful events on our beautiful Whitehaven Harbour over the last 24 hours.
🎉 Celebrating the first anniversary of the ** 180 run club **.
🌊 Marking a year of friendship, wellbeing and connection with the ** seagals and buoys **.
🕯️ Joining ** Silent Footprints Foundation ** for the National Wave of Light, remembering babies gone too soon and standing alongside families affected by baby loss.
Three events, three different experiences, but one thing in common: the power of people coming together.
Behind each of these groups are people whose drive, compassion and commitment make such a difference to others: Keely, Siobhan and Gail. What they have created goes far beyond organising events. They have created opportunities for people to connect, support one another, find comfort, share experiences and feel that they belong.
These last 24 hours have been a wonderful reminder of what makes our community so special. We come together in times of joy and celebration, but also in moments of sadness, reflection and remembrance. We make space for one another, we listen, we care, and we recognise that none of us needs to face life's challenges alone.
Our beautiful harbour has provided the backdrop, but it is the people who gather there who make these moments truly special.
A huge thank you to Keely, Siobhan and Gail, and everyone involved in these three wonderful groups. ❤️
**We are stronger when we come together, we are better when we care for one another, and we all benefit when we create a greater sense of connection and belonging.**
Sometimes, all it takes is one person with an idea, a little compassion and the determination to bring people together. Just imagine what we can achieve when we all do a little bit.
