Remembrance is on Sunday 8th November

We will observe a two-minute silence at 11am in Market Place, to remember and honour all those who sacrificed their lives in service to our country.
Our Honorary Bugler will sound the Last Post and Reveille as part of this important moment of national Remembrance. We invite everyone to join us in pausing to reflect and pay their respects.

🌺 Remembrance Parade, Church Service & Wreath Laying
This year’s Remembrance Church Service and Wreath Laying will take place at All Saints Church, Wokingham, at 3pm.

👉The parade will depart from Market Place at 2.35pm, led by St Sebastian Wokingham Band, and proceed along Rose Street to All Saints Church.

Everyone is warmly invited to line the route and watch the parade as it makes its way to the church.

The church service is open to the public, and residents are welcome to attend. Please be aware that seating capacity is limited.

🚧 Brief & Rolling Road Closures
To allow the community to observe the two-minute silences, there will be brief road closures on Broad Street and Denmark Street at 11am on Sunday 8th and again on Armistace Day on Wednesday 11th November.

‼UPDATE: The route is now open and the tree has been removed. ‼

Please note after the storms a large tree has come down across the path from Blagrove Lane/Roberts Grove into Leslie Sears playing fields. We have a contractor coming out tomorrow to look at it and arrange to remove it before the end of this week. Until then we have had to fully shut this access point.

Access to the playing field is still available from Viking Field, Crail Close and Reeves Way entrances. If access is opened before the end of the week we will let you know. Please share with anyone you know who uses this route into the park.
