What makes suitable seating and benches is a very personal view. Here at Heworth Without Parish Council we have a variety of options available to suit many differing needs, whilst enjoying our green spaces. In this case, one uniformed design does not suit all.

In our recent Community Green Flag Award judging, it was suggested to include benches with arm rests too. C*C have chosen the first image, as their option to meet an inclusive and accessible remit, which could also meet our next objective. The other images show what we have already at Stray Road Playarea. As you can see there are a variety of styles to suit differing needs and at differing heights and locations around the play area.
