FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
YEA PAYS BENEFICIARY ALLOWANCES; ARREARS LARGELY CLEARED
The Youth Employment Agency (YEA) is pleased to announce that the payment of allowances to its beneficiaries has been successfully processed. Most beneficiaries have received full payment of all outstanding arrears.
A number of beneficiaries currently have only the month of March pending, others February which is being processed for payment. This variation is due to differences in deployment and engagement timelines across the various modules. As such, depending on one’s specific deployment and engagement period, beneficiaries are either fully paid or awaiting only the March allowance.
Validated beneficiaries who have not yet received payment alerts are kindly advised to exercise patience, as this may be due to technical delays associated with the banking payment platform. All payments will be completed in due course.
The Agency further wishes to inform that deployment and engagement under the Arabic Module are currently ongoing. Validation exercises for beneficiaries under this module will be conducted within the month to facilitate the commencement of their allowance payments.
The Chief Executive Officer and Management of the Youth Employment Agency reaffirm their commitment to ensuring the timely and consistent payment of beneficiary allowances. Significant efforts continue to be made to streamline processes and eliminate delays.
YEA expresses its sincere appreciation to all beneficiaries for their patience, understanding, and continued dedication.
Signed.

CEO Malik Basintale writes;
Dear Nana Aba Anamoah,
I was copied with a post of yours from "X" about your request for certain information from my outfit. Unfortunately my "X" account has been locked out and I am working hard to get it back. As such, permit me to respond via Facebook.
I accept your appeal for transparency and your effort to ensure that public officers are held to account.
As you are aware, I am usually one person who shows RESULTS after I publish the opportunity. I usually don't "bore" the public with updates on the steps taken until the RESULTS is ready and that may be the reason you haven't seen an update on what we have done so far with regards to this.
My RESULTS for models such as the CPA, CFA, CPA(Prisons), CMFR, Skills training, disability training, Arabic Instructors, Labor exchange etc were showcased and i can proudly show you an unprecedented 86,000 beneficiaries engaged in just 1- year from all districts in Ghana. As of today, we are once again about paying them their monthly allowances after all validations have been done to ensure we do not have Ghost names in the system.
The graduation ceremony for most of them are shown on our YEA Official social media pages as evidence.
Now to your question;
1. It is a fact that I published on my socials on 30th September about how we could create 2,000 jobs from coconut husks by converting them into charcoal and even many other products in future.
2. After that publication, we opened our public portal for interested persons to apply and be trained FOR FREE by experts in that field. We have since had over 4,700 people applying.
3. Government business such as this comes with various processes and procedures in order not to be in breach of the law as the tax payers money is involved. ie: Procurement processes etc. We do not intend training and leaving them to their faith. We are to set them up and ensure that production from their end commences as well.
4. We have since ticked every step of the way now and I can boldly state that, over 1,000 ovens are ready. Costumes and equipments are ready and almost all materials needed are ready.
5. We shall now move into the second phase which is the shortlisting of applicants and the successful applicants fully trained and given their FREE ovens and start up kits to commence production.
6. These persons will just not be left on their own but will further be linked to the market to attract customers so they could stay in business.
7. The value chain for this is huge and we expect not less than 5,000 people benefiting right from the picking of these coconut husks to the supply and finally the distribution of our charcoal.
Our main aim in this is to create jobs while ensuring that deforestation is reduced and our environment is sustained.
Thank you and I shall be back to show the RESULTS as I always do!
