KOFIH Ghana Office visited the Ashanti Region on September 22, the Northern Region on September 24, and the Volta Region on October 1 and 2 to monitor the Improving Rehabilitation Services for Children with Disabilities and Strengthening Biomedical Engineering System projects.

During these visits, the team reviewed the progress of construction of the Prosthetic and Orthotic Centers in the Ashanti, Northern, and Volta Regions and key achievements in preparation for the upcoming field assessment for the end-of-project evaluation of the Strengthening Biomedical Engineering System project.

KOFIH Ghana Office conducts joint monitoring activities with the Ministry of Health and the Ghana Health Service Headquarters to support the successful implementation of its projects.

Skills today, better health data tomorrow.

Last week, KOFIH Ghana Office monitored the training of health information officers and P&O technicians on the DHIMS2 patient register and management systems for rehabilitation services in Ghana. The training extensively focused on data accuracy, standardization, and integrity.
This system is expected to roll out in early November in some selected facilities in Accra and the Eastern Region

The GKS–KAAG–KGA 2026 Joint Assembly brought three alumni communities together for the first time. Different programmes, different careers and different institutions, all linked by one shared story with Korea.
We celebrated achievements, exchanged ideas and built new connections that will carry the work forward for Ghana’s health. This is only the beginning of what we can do when we come together.

Dr. Armah holds a special place in the KOFIH Global Alumni (KGA) family as the first President of the KGA and a past President whose leadership, dedication, and commitment have contributed immensely to the Alumni network's growth.

Today, we celebrate Mr. Bo Min Yang as he concludes his three-year journey with the KOFIH Ghana Office as Country Director.

Over the past three years, Mr. Yang has provided dedicated leadership and contributed meaningfully to KOFIH’s work to strengthen health systems and improve access to in Ghana. Through his commitment, collaboration with partners, and support for major programmes, he has helped advance the shared vision of building stronger and more responsive healthcare systems.

His time in Ghana has been marked by meaningful partnerships, valuable contributions, and a genuine commitment to the people and communities we serve.

At his farewell meeting, representatives from the Ministry of Health (MoH), the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), and the KOFIH Global Alumni (KGA) joined the KOFIH Ghana Office to celebrate his service and recognize the strong partnerships built during his tenure.

We are deeply grateful for his leadership, dedication, and the lasting impact of his service to KOFIH and Ghana.

As he returns to Korea and begins the next chapter of his journey, we extend our sincere appreciation and warmest wishes for continued success and fulfilment. We will always remember his three years of service to KOFIH Ghana with gratitude.

For Koreans living in Ghana, KOFIH is working to make that experience a easier.

We are pleased to announce the signing of our third Medical Service Agreement, this time with THE BANK HOSPITAL

Through this partnership, KOFIH is helping to make access to medical services smoother for Koreans in Ghana, while expanding the network of healthcare providers available to them when they need care.

This agreement is another step in KOFIH’s commitment to supporting access to quality healthcare in Ghana, while making sure that Koreans living and working here can access dependable medical services and receive the care and support they need, even when they are far from home. 🇰🇷🤝🇬🇭
