A step towards stronger communities and greater opportunities for our youth. 💚

Our team recently visited New Amsterdam and Kildonan, Region Six, to connect with young people, listen to their concerns, and explore opportunities for youth empowerment, skills development and entrepreneurship.

From establishing a youth committee in Kildonan to building connections in New Amsterdam, this outreach was an important step towards turning conversations into action.

We look forward to continuing this work and building with our communities, one step at a time.

Our Young People Deserve More Than Hope - They Deserve Support.

On World Su***de Prevention Day, WE ARE THE CHANGE stands with every young person navigating pressures that are not always visible - mental health struggles, relationships, family difficulties, financial uncertainty, expectations, disappointment, loneliness and the challenge of finding their place in an increasingly demanding world.

Our young people must know that a difficult moment does not have to become a permanent decision. We must build a society where they are equipped to face adversity, encouraged to speak when life becomes overwhelming, supported without judgement, and reminded that asking for help is an act of courage. Prevention is not the responsibility of the individual alone; it requires families that listen, friends who notice, communities that care, and institutions prepared to respond.

To every young person: your present circumstances do not determine the rest of your story. Your voice matters. Your future matters. Your life matters.

Today, we recommit ourselves to creating a generation that is not only ambitious and innovative, but emotionally supported, mentally resilient and never afraid to reach out.

Listen. Support. Be there. Keep hope alive.

WE ARE THE CHANGE
Our Generation • Our Moment • Our Future

A Haircut, A Conversation, A Step Towards a Brighter Future. ✂️📚

Yesterday in Agricola, we successfully launched our Back-to-School Haircut Drive, bringing smiles, confidence and a little encouragement to young men in the community as they prepare for the new school year.

But this initiative is about more than just a haircut. It is about reminding our young people that they matter, their future matters, and their community believes in them.

Representing the movement were Lashonda Ellis and Michael Richmond, who spent time engaging with the young men, listening to their concerns and encouraging them to stay focused on their education and their goals.

As we continue this initiative, we are also committing to something even bigger. A number of young people will be enrolled in extra lessons to help prepare them for CSEC, while younger students will receive support as they prepare for next year’s Common Entrance examinations.

We believe community development must go beyond speeches. It must be seen in the opportunities we create, the young people we mentor and the lives we help change.

One haircut can build confidence. One lesson can change a result. One opportunity can change a life.

And this is only the beginning. 🇬🇾

The Change Movement investing in our young people, one community at a time.

🔥 WE CAME. WE IGNITED. AND WHAT A MOMENT IT WAS! 🔥

IGNITE 2026 was more than a launch - it was the beginning of a movement.

Promenade Gardens came alive with energy, talent, music, creativity, community and a generation ready to make its mark. From the performances to the people, from the smiles to the unforgettable moments - the launch of WE ARE THE CHANGE showed exactly what can happen when a generation comes together with purpose.

📸 THE MOMENTS. THE PEOPLE. THE ENERGY. THE MOVEMENT.

To everyone who showed up, performed, supported, volunteered, partnered and believed in the vision: THANK YOU! ❤️‍🔥

IGNITE 2026 was only the beginning.
