The Guyana Mining School & Training Centre Inc. is pleased to announce the commencement of the Map Reading & Navigation (GPS) Short Course.
Participants have officially begun their training and are currently engaged in developing practical skills in map interpretation, coordinate systems, GPS navigation, route planning, and field navigation techniques with applications across the mining, forestry, environmental, surveying, and other land-based sectors.
We wish all trainees success throughout the programme and look forward to seeing their progress over the coming weeks.

This hands-on programme combines practical and theoretical training to help participants develop essential navigation skills used within the mining sector.

Minister of Natural Resources, Hon. Vickram Bharrat, this morning met with British High Commissioner to Guyana, His Excellency Joseph Fisher and His Excellency Simon Day, British High Commissioner to the Gabonese Republic.
Discussion focused on the development of the relationship between Guyana and Gabon; sustainable forest management and its impact on developing the livelihoods of people; among other mutual areas of interest.
