Pregnancy Test Positive

If you feel fine, your blood pressure must be normal.

High blood pressure often causes no noticeable symptoms. Feeling well does not necessarily mean your blood pressure is within a healthy range.

When left uncontrolled over time, high blood pressure can increase the risk of heart disease, stroke and kidney damage.

Make blood pressure checks part of your preventive health routine. If your readings are repeatedly high, consult a qualified healthcare professional. Do not start or stop blood pressure medicines on your own.

Remember, a normal blood pressure reading is reassuring, but it does not rule out every heart condition.

Know your numbers. Protect your heart.

After delivery, only the baby needs care?

A mother’s health matters just as much after childbirth as it does during pregnancy. Physical recovery, adequate rest, nutrition, emotional well-being and postnatal follow-up all play an important role in her recovery.

Persistent sadness, severe anxiety or other emotional difficulties should not be ignored. Seeking appropriate professional support is a sign of care, not weakness.

At Gupta Hospital & Research Centre, we encourage mothers and families to make postnatal care a priority.

A healthy beginning for the baby also means caring for the mother.

Does every heart attack cause severe chest pain?

Not always. Heart attack symptoms can vary from person to person. They may include chest pressure or discomfort, pain or discomfort in the arm, back, neck or jaw, breathlessness, cold sweating, nausea or dizziness.

Do not dismiss concerning symptoms as gas or acidity, and do not wait for symptoms to become severe.

If you suspect a heart attack, seek emergency medical help immediately. Do not drive yourself.

Recognising symptoms early and acting promptly can be lifesaving.

Does a C-section Mean Something Went Wrong?

Not at all. Every pregnancy is different, and the safest mode of delivery depends on the clinical needs of the mother and baby.

While normal delivery may be appropriate in many pregnancies, a Caesarean section can be necessary when medically indicated.

Some newborns may also need additional monitoring or specialised support in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

There is no single delivery method that is right for every pregnancy. The priority is informed care and the safety of both mother and baby.

Consult your obstetrician to understand the options appropriate for your pregnancy.
