Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge

Today, the officers and staff of the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Rangia, took the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge on the occasion of the 151st birth anniversary of the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. The pledge aims to promote unity among the diverse cultures and people of India.

The pledge was read by the Co-District Commissioner of Rangia, Nabajit Pathak.

Co-District Development Committee Meeting

Today, the Co-District Commissioner of Rangia presided over the September meeting of the Co-District Development Committee (CDDC) in the presence of all Heads of Departments of Rangia Co-District.

During the meeting, the progress of various developmental schemes was reviewed. The Chair also directed the concerned departments to regularly monitor the implementation of the schemes, ensure hygiene in eateries and curb plastic menace in and around Rangia town.

A meeting was held on 15 October 2026 regarding preparations for the upcoming Durga Puja 2026 celebrations and traffic management in Rangia Town.

The meeting focused on ensuring public safety, smooth traffic movement and preventing traffic congestion during the festive period.

As per the order issued by the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Rangia, the entry of all e-rickshaws into Rangia Town will remain prohibited from 2:00 PM to 12:00 midnight, from 17 October to 21 October 2026.

Designated E-Rickshaw Stoppage Points by Direction:

1. From Tamulpur side: Sitara Chowk, Rangia
2. From Chirakhundi side: Milanpur Chowk
3. From Chepti side: Chepti Chowk, near the overbridge
4. From Nalbari side: Balagaon Chowk, near Army Camp
5. From Balisatra side: Burmese Field, Rangia

All concerned authorities, e-rickshaw drivers, and stakeholders are requested to follow the designated stoppage points and comply with the traffic restrictions to ensure safe and smooth movement during Durga Puja.

A Financial Camp under the Seva Sankalpa Abhiyan was organized on 9 October 2026 at the Conference Hall of the Office of the Co-District Commissioner, Rangia under Rangia Development Block, Kamrup. The programme was held in the presence of Sri Nabajit Pathak, ACS, Co-District Commissioner, Rangia and Deeksh*ta Bharali, BPM, BMMU, ASRLM along with bank officials and beneficiaries. The camp focused on facilitating access to financial services, promoting enterprise development, and strengthening livelihood opportunities for Self-Help Group (SHG) members and other community members.

Key Activities and Achievements:

1. Individual loans sanctioned/disbursed to 15 beneficiaries amounting to ₹17.50 lakh.
2. PMFME loans sanctioned to 2 beneficiaries amounting to ₹5.00 lakh.
3. SHG loans facilitated for 56 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) amounting to ₹392.00 lakh.
4. CEF loans facilitated for 105 members amounting to ₹28.75 lakh.
5. Udyam Registration completed for 25 members.
6. FSSAI Registration completed for 25 members.
7. PMJJBY enrolment completed for 217 beneficiaries.
8. PMSBY enrolment completed for 211 beneficiaries.
9. APY enrolment completed for 31 beneficiaries.
10. 95 individual bank accounts opened.
11. Aadhaar seeding completed for 125 beneficiaries.

The camp served as an important initiative to strengthen financial inclusion, facilitate access to institutional credit, encourage entrepreneurship, and enhance livelihood opportunities among SHG members and the wider community under Rangia Development Block.
