In a meeting with H.E. Mr. Khamphan Phommathat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, we discussed the importance of access to justice and legal certainty in Laos, as well as the justice sector’s key role in addressing the issue of money laundering. Through the rule of law and good governance (ROLAG) programme, Luxembourg works closely with the Ministry of Justice and other institutions in providing access to justice for all. The ROLAG programme is implemented through LuxDev, in partnership with ILSTA and the University of Luxembourg.

We congratulate Mr Souliyo Vongdala, Co-founder and CEO of LOCA, on his selection for the Catapult: Inclusion South-East Asia bootcamp, hosted by the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT).

Over the next two weeks in Luxembourg, Mr Souliyo will have the opportunity to connect with influential figures in the Inclusive Finance ecosystem, and work together towards accelerating impact by enhancing skills and strategic capabilities, fostering innovation, deepening understanding of regulatory frameworks, and building meaningful connections with key market players.
