Statement

Algeria welcomes the conclusion of a framework agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, under which military operations in the Gulf region and the Middle East are to be ceased.

On this occasion, Algeria expresses its sincere appreciation for the international mediation efforts, particularly those of Pakistan and Qatar, and emphasizes the importance of the commitment of all parties to the agreed-upon understandings.

It also expresses its hope that this agreement will constitute a foundation for strengthening trust between the concerned parties and create an appropriate climate for finding definitive solutions to all outstanding issues, so as to ensure the achievement of permanent and sustainable security in the region.
