LIFTING OF INDUSTRIAL ACTION IN EDO STATE - DIRECTIVE TO RESUME WORK

Fellow Comrades,

I bring you solidarity greetings from the Zonal Leadership.

Information reaching me from the Ag. General Secretary is as follows:

1. The Edo State Governor, in company of Senator Adams Oshiomhole, met with the leadership of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) on Friday, 23rd October, 2026, where he agreed to recognize the Caretaker Committee put in place by the Nigeria Labour Congress for Edo State.
2. Consequent upon the above development, all members of NUEE in Edo State under BEDC are hereby directed to resume work immediately.

The industrial action against Edo State is hereby lifted with immediate effect.

All members should resume at their duty posts and remain law-abiding while we continue to monitor the implementation of the agreement reached.

We appreciate your commitment, solidarity and sacrifice during the struggle.
